Anti-Spam & Email Compliance Policy

Permission-based email only. No exceptions.

Last updated: October 2026 · Operated by MailToucan

1. Our standard

MailToucan has a zero-tolerance policy on spam. Every contact you email must have given you permission, and every email must make it easy to opt out.

2. Laws that apply

You are responsible for complying with the laws of every place you market to, including the CAN-SPAM Act (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive (EU), PECR and UK GDPR (UK), the Spam Act 2003 (Australia) and equivalent local rules.

4. Verification

MailToucan verifies email addresses at capture. You must not bypass or disable verification.

5. Unsubscribe

Every marketing email must contain a working unsubscribe link. Opt-outs are processed automatically and promptly, and you must never email an unsubscribed contact again.

6. Sender identification

Every email must clearly identify your business, include a valid physical or registered address where required, use an accurate From name and subject line, and provide a working reply-to address.

7. List quality and sending thresholds

To protect deliverability for everyone we monitor bounce, complaint and engagement rates. Sustained high bounce rates, spam complaints (generally above 0.1%) or abnormal sending patterns may lead to throttling, review, suspension or termination.

8. Prohibited content

The content rules in our Acceptable Use Policy apply to all emails and portals.

9. Reporting spam

If you received an email sent through MailToucan that you believe breaks this policy, forward it with full headers to hello@mailtoucan.com. We investigate every report.

10. Enforcement

Breaches may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund and, where appropriate, reporting to authorities and email providers.
