How to use this template

Replace “[Venue name]” with your business name. This page shows end users the kind of terms they accept when they connect. Each venue is responsible for its own portal wording; MailToucan provides the technology.

1. Who provides the WiFi

This guest WiFi network is provided by [Venue name] (“the Venue”). The portal technology is provided by MailToucan, which processes data on the Venue’s behalf.

2. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the network for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive.
  • Do not attempt to access other devices, bypass security or overload the network.
  • Do not distribute malware, spam or infringing content.
  • The Venue may limit, suspend or end access at any time.

3. No guarantee of service

The WiFi is provided “as is” without guarantee of speed, availability or security. Do not send sensitive information over public WiFi without protection such as a VPN.

4. Your data

To connect you may be asked for details such as your name and email. The Venue is the controller of this data and MailToucan is its processor. The Venue uses it to provide access and, only if you opt in, to send you offers. See the Venue’s privacy notice and the MailToucan Privacy Policy.

6. Age

Users must be at least [13/16, as required where the Venue operates] or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law the Venue and MailToucan are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the network.

8. Contact

Questions about this network or your data: contact [Venue name].
